1. Information We Collect

When you sign in with Google, we collect:

• Name — for your profile display
• Email address — to identify your account and send subscription-related emails (if any)
• Profile picture URL — for your avatar (we don't store the image; we link to Google's URL)
• Google account ID — to keep your account consistent across devices

When you subscribe through Google Play Billing, we receive:

• Purchase token — used only to confirm your subscription is active. We don't store your payment method, card number, or any banking detail.
• Subscription status — active / trial / expired, so we can unlock or lock content.

We also collect locally on your device (these never leave your phone):

• Language preference (English / हिंदी)
• Reading position and bookmarks
• Course progress and quiz scores
• Reader settings (theme, font size)

2. How We Use Your Information

• To identify your account and unlock subscription content on your devices
• To send important subscription-related emails (renewal reminders via Google Play; we don't send marketing emails)
• To improve the reading experience for everyone (anonymous, aggregated analytics only)

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any third-party marketing.

3. Data Storage

Your account data is stored on Supabase (supabase.com), a trusted cloud database provider that complies with industry security standards. All data is transferred over encrypted HTTPS connections.

App settings such as language, theme, and reading progress are stored locally on your device only via Android's secure storage. They are not sent to our servers.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

All subscription billing is handled by Google Play Billing. We do not see or store your card number, UPI ID, or any financial information. Refunds, cancellations, and billing disputes are managed through Google Play.

You can cancel your subscription at any time from Google Play → Subscriptions → Shoonay AI School. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid period; you keep access until then.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with anyone — including advertisers, data brokers, or analytics companies that profile users.

The only exceptions: (a) when required by law or a valid court order, and (b) when essential service providers (e.g. Supabase for storage, Google Play for billing) must process your data to operate the app.

6. Children's Privacy

Shoonay AI School is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us and we'll delete it.

7. Account Deletion

You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time:

• Online: use the form linked below — your account will be deleted within 7 business days.
• By email: write to shoonay.com@gmail.com from your account email with the subject "Delete my Shoonay AI School account".

Deletion removes your name, email, profile picture URL, Google account ID, and any course / quiz history we have stored on our servers. Locally stored settings clear when you uninstall the app.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the data we hold about you
• Request correction of any inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and data (see Section 7)
• Withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account

9. Changes to This Policy

If we make any significant change to this policy, we'll notify you via in-app update notes or via the email tied to your account. The latest version will always be available on this page.
